Hi everyone,
I am in a very Happy state of mind these dayzzz!!
This is due to my finally after 2 1/2 plus years being able to get a bridge in the front bottom
area of my teeth...I am a "new woman now". I am feeling like doing the Happy Dance!!!
It is a New Year and with it I hope will come many new and wonderful experiences. A great journey too...alot of stitching, knitting, crochet too.
On Saturday I went to "Stitcher's Paradise" here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I had a lot of fun touching threads, looking at so many new colors and silks as well.
I purchased a new book of charts by Black Bird Designs. I love it, it has many Vintage Designs inside.
I have started a new design called "Margaret Harris ~ 1877" ~it is a sampler. It was inspired by Louisa Bell's sampler. You may use any Grandmother or Aunt's name and date as your own.
I am using 28 ct Jobelean Linen~ color is Bay Leaf . Threads *I changed the colours*
DMC threads #Ecru, #680 Gold, #3031, WDW #1276 Blue Spruce, GA #Poinsettia,
Crescent Colours St Bernard, Tiny Vine...It will be so lovely!!
It called for Belle Soie ~Attic Tea, Vanilla Pudding, Scarecrow, Terra Potta, Tourtoise Shell.
I chose to use DMC, Crescent Colours,The Gentle Art Threads.
The design is 142W X 123 H.
I started it yesterday and I have the top main border design and half of the right border design almost
finished. It is delightful to work.
I rented the movie Jane Ayre, I am enjoying it. I saw The Help a few days ago before the Golden Globes were on, it is very good~.I did not read the book.. Saw Moneyball, as a baseball movie was ok, Midnight in Paris & Ides of March not my favorites at all.
I am also enjoying my new Kindle Fire, read two books "Dancing in the Moonlight" & "Blackberry Summer" by RaeAnne Thayne....love her reads, just got "Christmas in Cold Creek"~ have played games and gone on face book too on it. What fun!!
I hope you are all having a good start to the new year with much good health, love, laughter and friends, family, grandchildren and the furry babies too.
I made marinated skirt steak last nite and a baked potato and salad, it was very palette pleasing.
An apple for dessert.
Well I guess I wrote a book.
Hugz to all, reina
